Requirements

At least 18 credits, as follows:

• COM 241 - History and Effects of Mass Communication (3)
• HCR 386 - Media and Materials in Health Care Education (3).

•  

• COM 387 - Introduction to Health Communication (3).

• or

• HCR 387 - Introduction to Health Communication (3).

•  

• COM 417 - Applied Health Communication (3).

• or

• HCR 417 - Applied Health Communication (3).

•  

• At least six credits in elective courses selected with advisor

Note

If completing the minor along with a Communications or PHHS major, 9 additional credits beyond major requirements must be completed in order to qualify for both the major and the minor.
