Prerequisite

MTH 111 - College Algebra (3).
(MTH 118 or MTH 121 strongly recommended for those planning to attend graduate school)

A. Psychology

At least 46 credits in psychology including:

Foundation Courses (18 credits)

One from each area:

Biological Psychology

PSY 316 - Biological Psychology (3)
PSY 343 - Neuropsychology (3).

Cognitive Psychology

PSY 317 - Cognitive Psychology (3)
PSY 333 - Psychology of Language (3)

Developmental Psychology

PSY 313 - Developmental Psychology (3)

Social Psychology

PSY 315 - Survey of Social Psychology (3)
PSY 341 - Psychology of Gender (3).
PSY 377 - Nonverbal Communication in Human Interaction (3).

Applied Psychology

PSY 309 - Abnormal Psychology (3)
PSY 336 - Psychology of Personality (3)
PSY 365 - Industrial and Organizational Psychology (3).

Advanced Research (4 credits)

PSY 401 - Advanced Research Topics (4)

Electives (9 credits)

Satisfactory performance on departmental comprehensive educational evaluation.
All requirements of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) Bachelor of Science degree, including General Education requirements . General education requirements in the natural sciences may not include courses in psychology.
All University of Michigan-Flint graduation requirements .

To best prepare students consistent with their individual career goals, attention of students is directed to: Political Science , Economics , Public Administration , Criminal Justice , Sociology , Anthropology , Social Work , Substance Abuse Treatment and Prevention and Health Care .
