Health Care Administration Program (BS)


The UM-Flint Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration program is offered fully online.

The demand for health care is increasing, making it essential to train empathetic, ethical, and effective health care administrators.  UM-Flint offers students a world-class education that results in professional success, personal advancement, and patient well-being.

Health care administrators work in a variety of settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, physician offices, government agencies, health insurance companies, pharmaceutical companies, and more.  Their duties vary but can include improving efficiency and quality in delivering health care services, ensuring compliance with ever-changing laws and regulations, recruiting and supervising staff members, creating work schedules, maintaining and securing patient records and other data, managing facility finances, and preparing and monitoring budgets, among many others.

 

Prerequisites (11-14 credits)


Grades in transferred courses must be C (2.0) or better.
