Teaching Children in Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 3

This concentration in the Elementary Education Program (BS) qualifies the teacher candidate to earn Michigan teacher certification for the Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 3 band. As part of the requirements, candidates complete a minimum 600 hours in pre-kindergarten through third grade field settings.

Grades of B- (2.7) or higher are required in all core courses.
