Law and Society information
The Law and Society minor provides students with an interdisciplinary view of the law. Students are challenged to interrogate the way in which law works in society as well as to understand some key concepts of substantive contemporary legal issues. This program is well suited for all students who are interested in learning about the law as a fundamental concept of human existence from a historical and substantive context, as it grounds students in the ways in which legal thinking and legal institutions regulate behavior and attempt to deliver justice. Though some students may choose to go on to law school or graduate study, this minor is well suited to any student seeking to add more knowledge about the law and its applications to better meet the needs of a changing world.
