The English Program with a Specialization in Linguistics and Honors Program​ has been placed on moratorium status and is not currently accepting new students.  Students who have already declared this major will be allowed to complete their program

Requirements


Thirty-six credits, including at least 18 at or above the 300 level, as follows:

C. Language and Society (6 credits)


D. Linguistics Electives (6 credits)

F. Senior Seminar (3 credits)


G. Individual Writing Portfolio


Completion of an Individual Writing Portfolio. Contact the Department for portfolio guidelines.

H. Additional Requirements


All requirements of the College of Arts and Sciences Bachelor of Arts  degree, including General Education requirements  and additional BA distribution requirements. 
 

Minimum Credits For the Degree: 120 credits

Honors Program


All bachelor-degree-seeking students with GPAs of 3.5 or higher are eligible to apply to the University of Michigan-Flint Honors Program.  Please contact the Honors Program Manager or the Honors Program Director for further information.
