Graduate Certificate in Health Care Administration

Return to {$returnto_text} Return to: Programs by Degree Type

This nine-credit 100% online certificate program introduces students to key concepts in health care administration. Course selections provide students with foundational knowledge in health care organizational behavior, economics, and financial management, health policy, and other related topics in health care administration. The curriculum is designed for health care professionals and administrators looking to develop strategic administrative and management skills that assist in planning, directing and coordinating health services in a variety of settings such as nursing homes, hospitals, clinics, and private medical practices.

The certificate may be earned in conjunction with a degree program or as a stand-alone credential.  (Students pursuing a stand-alone credential are not eligible for federal financial aid and may not participate in Commencement.) After the student applies for graduation, the certificate is posted to the student’s official transcript and an official diploma stating the area of the certificate is issued.
