For a Bachelor of Arts degree with a concentration in history, the student is expected to complete a balanced program of studies in history, the other social sciences, and the humanities as approved by the advisor.

A. Foundations (7 credits)
A foreign language course from ARB 112, ASL 112, CHN 112, FRN 112, GER 112, SPN 112; or successful transfer of the second semester of a foreign language or demonstration of equivalent proficiency by examination
Depending on its content, HIS 393 may also satisfy the non-western history requirement. Please consult with an advisor.
Six additional courses in history, including at least four at the 300 level or higher, so distributed as to give the student a comprehensive knowledge of several fields. Students should consult a department advisor prior to selecting these courses.
