Mechanical Engineering Program (BSE)

The Mechanical Engineering program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, http://www.abet.org.

Prerequisites


Requirements (128 credits)


B. Laboratory Courses (3 credits)


C. Elective Courses (8 credits)


8 credits at the 300 level or above in AUE, EGR, IOE and/or MEE courses.

D. Additional Requirements


Completion of at least 128 credits with a minimum of 71 credits in AUE, EGR, IOE, and/or MEE courses, excluding EGR 100 and EGR 235.

Completion of all College of Innovation and Technology  (CIT) Bachelor of Science requirements, including General Education requirements  and University of Michigan-Flint graduation requirements  

Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) license examination (typically taken during the final term before graduation). Exam results are required for graduation.

Honors Program


All bachelor-degree-seeking students with GPAs of 3.5 or higher are eligible to apply to the University of Michigan-Flint Honors Program .  Please contact the Honors Program Manager or the Honors Program Director for further information.
