Supply Chain Management (MS)

The Supply Chain Management Master of Science program is designed for individuals interested in pursuing a career in the growing supply chain management profession, in response to the reshoring of manufacturing in the US. Students with undergraduate supply chain management backgrounds may be eligible to have some coursework waived.

The MS Program provides a focused, comprehensive supply chain management master’s degree that provides excellent preparation for a career in the field, without need for an undergraduate degree in supply chain management.

Admission Information

Transfer of Credit

Transfer credit is limited to a maximum of nine credits in graduate courses completed in the last 5 years with grades of B (3.0) or better, during enrollment as a graduate student at an AACSB-accredited program, and must not be part of another degree. MITx MicroMasters® completed coursework is accepted.  Exceptions to this rule are accepted only in unusual circumstances and then only by approval of the SOM Curriculum Committee. Course Waivers

Graduates of UM-Flint’s Supply Chain Management BS program and others who may have taken undergraduate versions of program coursework will not be asked to repeat these courses at graduate level.  Equivalency of coursework is determined by the School of Management Curriculum Committee based on the AACSB-International accreditation status of the institution where taken and grades received; two undergraduate courses from another institution are generally required to waive a graduate course. Waived courses are replaced with electives chosen with the advisor; all students are required to complete 30 graduate credits in the program.  Up to 9 credits of course waivers are considered, and only at the time of admission to the MS program.

Time Limit for Degree Completion

All requirements must be completed within five calendar years of initial enrollment in the program.
