Art History Minor

The Minor in Art History provides a basic introduction to art history survey, contemporary art and a survey of non-Western art. Students will also explore a number of more specific periods and cultures.

Requirements. At least 21 credits as follows, with a grade of C (2.0) or better in each course, and including a least 9 credits completed at UM-Flint.

1. Core courses (12 credits).
   1. Art history survey sequence.  ARH 111 , ARH 112 . 
   2. Contemporary art history.  ARH 411 . 
   3. Art of a non-Western culture or cultures. ARH 308  or ARH 331 .
2. Art history electives (9 credits).  Additional ARH courses selected in consultation with an Art Program advisor.
