Exploration of attributes in mathematics, including two- and three-dimensional shapes, spatial relationships, size comparisons, etc. Exploration of patterns and relationships, including recognition and description of patterns, and the ways relationships change. Pedagogical strategies include: unpacking mathematical content; performing mathematical explanations; choosing, interpreting and talking with representations; and eliciting, interpreting, supporting and extending others’ thinking.
