MPH Program Manager Brenda Cameron
With a career in public health, you improve public health by empowering people to prevent and manage chronic illness and disabilities in pursuit of an equitable, healthy future for all. Public health professionals examine and propose solutions to the health challenges facing specific populations. Serving as a link between communities, governments, and medical professionals, public health specialists must be well-versed in theory, science, sociology and public policy.
Professionals working within the public health field have a variety of responsibilities, dependent on their education level. From working within small communities or towns to advancing global public health and wellness, the opportunities are vast.
Accreditation
The Master of Public Health (MPH) and the Bachelor of Science in Public Health (BS) programs are currently in the applicant stage for accreditation through the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH).
