Political Science Teacher’s Certificate Minor

Requirements. Twenty-one credits including:

1. POL 120 , POL 190 ; POL 311  or POL 312  (9 credits).
2. A course in comparative politics or international relations from: POL 230 , POL 340 , POL 344 , POL 343 , POL 345 , POL 359 , POL 351 , POL 437  (3 credits).
3. A course in American national politics or political processes from: POL 303 , POL 309 , POL 322 , POL 323 , POL 321 , POL 326 , POL 329 , POL 327  (3 credits).
4. A course with primary emphasis upon politics, society and race, gender and class diversity: POL 304  or POL 331  (3 credits).
5. Additional courses in political science to bring the total to at least 21 credits.
6. At least one course from POL 261 , POL 361 , POL 401  (recommended).
