Theatre Design and Technology BS

The BS in theatre design and technology prepares students who are serious, dedicated and gifted for post-gradate opportunities in those fields. The program is designed to offer courses and laboratory experiences for students who wish to excel in this area. The purpose of this concentration is to enable those students who wish to pursue further study or a career in the field.
Requirements.
- Design and Technology (36 credits).
- THE 271 / ART 271 (3); 4 credits from: THE 214 , THE 215 , THE 216 (4); THE 314 or THE 315 (2).
- 12 credits from: THE 241 / ARH 241 , THE 251 , THE 380 ; THE 252 / ART 252 / COM 252 ; WGS 275 / THE 275 ; THE 370 , THE 385 .
- 15 credits from: THE 323 , THE 324 , THE 327 , THE 343 , THE 404 , THE 408 , THE 413 , THE 414 , THE 417 , THE 419 .
- Theatre Practica (3 cr. in 2 areas).
THE 121 , THE 122 .
- Performance (5 credits).
THE 221 , THE 230 .
- Theatre History and Literature (9 credits).
THE 150 , THE 300 , THE 301 .
- Directing (3 credits).

- Senior Seminar (1 credit).

- Theatre Elective (3 credits).
- Participation in all major theatre productions.
- All requirements of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) Bachelor of Science degree, including General Education Requirements , at least 33 credits in courses numbered 300 or above, and electives to bring the credit total to 124 or higher.
