Social Work Honors

Prerequisites.

1. Grade point average of 3.5 or better for the first 55 credit hours.
2. SWR 100 .

Requirements.

1. All requirements for the Generalist Program in Social Work BA , including SWR 270  , normally elected in the sophomore year.
2. A course in statistics (SOC 215 , PSY 301  , or an equivalent approved by the advisor), recommended for the sophomore year.
3. Completion of SWR 300  and SWR 480  (3 each) in the junior year.
4. SWR 488  and SWR 489 , Honors Thesis I and II (4 each).
5. All requirements of the University Honors Scholars Program .

Prospective Honors Program students are urged to acquaint themselves as early as possible with the requirements above as well as with the particular procedures for acceptance into the Social Work Department’s Honors Program.
