Communication Studies Department information
The Argumentation and Advocacy Minor provides students with knowledge and skills necessary to become leaders in their chosen fields. Coursework focuses on the formation and evaluation of public arguments and the challenges of persuading diverse, real world audiences. Emphasis is placed on both theoretical approaches to critical argumentation and more pragmatic techniques for creating change in the world. The minor is useful for any engaged citizen, but especially for students interested in law, politics or social change.
