Requirements
Thirty-six credits, including at least 18 at or above the 300 level, as follows:
A. Foundation for Analyzing Literature and Language (12 credits)
B. Language Change in English (6 credits)
Literature Before 1800
One from:
C. Language and Society (6 credits)
Language and Variation
One from:
Ethnic, Global or Women’s Literature
One from:
D. Linguistics Electives (6 credits)
Psycholinguistics
One from:
Additional Elective
One from:
E. Writing Elective (3 credits)
One from:
F. Senior Seminar (3 credits)
G. Individual Writing Portfolio
Completion of an Individual Writing Portfolio. Contact the Department for portfolio guidelines.
Honors Program
All bachelor-degree-seeking students with GPAs of 3.5 or higher are eligible to apply to the University of Michigan-Flint Honors Program. Please contact the Honors Program Manager or the Honors Program Director for further information.
