The master program in Cybersecurity is designed as a 32-credit hour curriculum. This program provides students the opportunity to gain cutting-edge cybersecurity knowledge and skills with a solid theoretical foundation as well as a good understanding of the social, ethical, legal, and policy aspects of cybersecurity. This master program prepares students for a productive career in industry and for research and development positions in this rapidly growing field or to progress into Ph.D. degrees in related fields.
Admission to the Program
The program has a rolling admissions policy, meaning that a student can apply at any time and be notified of admission within 2-4 weeks. The application deadline is August 15 for the following Fall term and December 1 for the following Winter term. Conditional admission may be granted. Application forms may be obtained from the Office of Graduate Programs.
Transfer of Credit
With approval of the Cybersecurity Graduate Committee, students may transfer in, or elect as a graduate non-candidate for degree (NCFD), up to six credits of graduate-level courses in computer science and information systems. Time Limit for Degree Completion
All requirements must be completed within six calendar years of initial enrollment in the program.
