Digital Transformation (MS)

Digital transformation (DT) is the integration of three developing trends and capabilities. First is the adoption of advanced digital technologies such as IoT, AI, Big Data, Digital Twin, VR/AR/MR/XR, Blockchain, etc. Second is the reformulation of business platforms and processes to operate in a lean, resilient, and real-time collaborative manner with customers and supplier networks. Third is the shift in workforce engagement to operate using virtual and boundary-less teams. The result is to significantly improve operations or disruptively enable new business models. This MS program is designed to educate new professionals in DT to help industries transform their practices, methodologies and workflows.

The objective of the Digital Transformation MS program is to prepare DT engineers who:

  • Develop and demonstrate the ability to communicate with and integrate multidisciplinary expertise related to digital transformation and innovation.
  • Develop and demonstrate the ability to lead, design and create applications of digital transformation and innovation using current and emerging tools, techniques and technology.
  • Develop skills in management, technology, communications, information architecture, data science, and gender/cultural awareness and demonstrate the ability to apply them in practice.
  • Develop and demonstrate the ability to assess, test and research digital transformation and innovation with sensitivity and awareness around ethics, equity, diversity, business and social impact.
