Study of comparative political systems, forms of authority, legitimacy and power in societies at different levels of social complexity and in different ecological contexts. Political organization and process analyzed in terms of their relationships to economics, religion, kinship, and other aspects of culture and society. Not open to students with credit for ANT 351 /POL 351 .
