Admission to Phase III of the Art Education TCP Program or consent of instructor. (3)

Exploration of methodologies, processes and materials for presenting art concepts and techniques in K-12 programs in the U.S., and examination of the rationale and philosophies of various models of art education programs. Students investigate topics and present results through seminar-style discussions and demonstrations, and work to understand and practice developmentally appropriate teaching strategies through peer and practicum teaching. Focus on developing art curricula by formulating objectives for teaching art history, art appreciation, and the making of art. Also listed as ART 300. Graded ABCDE
