Issues underlying the politics and economics of health services; introduction to principles of microeconomics and decision analysis as a way to approach resource allocation issues within health care organizations. Economic framework used to explain the forces pressing for change in health care, as well as why the health system has evolved to its current state. Not open to students with credit for HCR 411. Graded ABCDE
