SCM 573 - Six Sigma and Quality Management


Prior or concurrent election of SCM 571  or equivalent, graduate standing. (3)

Expanding on basic concepts of Quality and Quality Management (QM), an introduction to modern QM tools and techniques used for global supply chain management. Designing and assuring quality; including strategic quality planning, quality and innovation in product/service and process design; managing supplier quality; implementing and improving quality via statistically based approaches and lean tools, with emphasis on Six Sigma Management in practice.  Not open to students with credit for SCM 381. Graded ABCDE
