Study of basic visualization techniques using different platforms ranging from scripting languages to off-the-shelf software packages along with necessary statistical measures. Includes an introduction to design and information literacy, fundamental data preprocessing techniques, dimension reduction, representation of time, spatial and network data, and ethical aspects in visualization.
