The Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration program prepares individuals to work in various inpatient, ambulatory, and other health care settings, including primary care facilities, medical group practices, public health organizations, health insurance companies, and federal, state, and local agencies and alternative delivery organizations. The program is offered fully online to allow both traditional and non-traditional students to enroll in the program. Also, the online modality provides the opportunity for students across the state and outside of Michigan to enroll in the program. 

Students also pursue graduate degrees in a broad range of fields, including public health, law, medicine, business administration, and health services research.

Mission Statement

The overall mission of the Health Administration program is to prepare our students to become culturally competent health care leaders in health administration, contribute to the knowledge base of health care delivery, and advocate for fairness and equity in health.

AUPHA Certification

The Bachelor of Science Health Care Administration Program (BS) program is certified by the Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA). The AUPHA certification reflects the strength, productivity, and commitment of our faculty and the achievements of our graduates.
