English BA

Requirements. Thirty credits in English at the 200 level or above, including 18 at the 300 or 400 level and no more than six from ENG 202 , ENG 203  and ENG 208 .  Within the 30 credits, the following are required:

1. ENG 204  or ENG 205  or ENG 206  or ENG 207 ; ENG 241 .
2. A course in American or American ethnic literature.
3. A writing course from the 200 series or above.
4. Two courses at the 300 level or above in British literature before 1800.
5. Completion of an Individual Major Portfolio. Consult the department for portfolio guidelines.
6. ENG 400  or equivalent.
7. All requirements of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) Bachelor of Arts   degree, including General Education Requirements  and a foreign language.
