Requirements. Thirty-six credits in English at the 200 level and above, including at least 18 at the 300 or 400 level and no more than six from ENG 202 , ENG 203  and ENG 208 .

   4. British Literature (any period).
      One additional from: ENG 303 , ENG 310 , ENG 312 , ENG 315 , ENG 316 , ENG 317  ENG 318 , ENG 319 , ENG 326 , ENG 327 , ENG 329 , ENG 330 , ENG 331 , ENG 332 , ENG 333  ENG 334 , ENG 385 , ENG 386  (3 credits).
   5. American/Ethnic Literature.
      One from: ENG 213 , ENG 215 , ENG 353 , ENG 355 , ENG 356 , ENG 357 , ENG 364 , ENG 368 , ENG 374 , ENG 375 , ENG 382 , ENG 432 , ENG 433 , ENG 434  (3 credits).
2. Writing. Eighteen credits as follows:
   
   1. Composition Theory.
      Two from: ENG 336 , ENG 340 , ENG 363  (6 credits).
   2. Writing Practice (Nonfiction, Creative Writing, and/or Technical and Professional Communications).
      Three from: ENG 252 , ENG 260 , ENG 296 , ENG 298 ;  ENG 306  / LIN 306 ; ENG 309  / THE 390 ; ENG 338  / COM 338 , ENG 345  / COM 345 , ENG 354  / COM 354 , ENG 391  / COM 391 , ENG 392  / COM 392 , ENG 393  / COM 393 , ENG 399  / COM 399  (9 credits).
   3. Linguistics.
      ENG 200  / LIN 200 , ENG 244  / LIN 244  (3 credits).
3. Senior Seminar. ENG 400  (3 credits).
4. Completion of an Individual Major Portfolio. Consult the department for portfolio guidelines.
