Political Science Program (BA)

Political Science (POL) information  

The Program in Political Science is intended to meet the needs of students planning to continue their studies in political science or related fields at the graduate level, or planning to prepare for professional work in such fields as government, law, education, journalism, and public service.

Eighteen credits from the courses below, including at least one from each category:

For Honors Program students only, normally taken in the first semester of the junior year, a course in research methods or statistics from:

All requirements of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) Bachelor of Arts  degree, including General Education  and additional BA distribution requirements .


Minimum Credits for the Degree: 120 credits

Honors Program


All bachelor-degree-seeking students with GPAs of 3.5 or higher are eligible to apply to the University of Michigan-Flint Honors Program.  Please contact the Honors Program Manager or the Honors Program Director for further information.
