NUR 791 - Advanced Practice Nursing Care of Adults and Children with Psychiatric Mental Health Concerns - Practicum II


NUR 751 , NUR 753 , NUR 780 , NUR 781 , NUR 790 ; consent of Program Director. (3-4)

Guided and supervised by clinical and faculty preceptors, students continue to advance diagnostic and critical thinking skills working with clients across the life span experiencing acute and chronic mental health problems and psychiatric disorders. Students demonstrate knowledge of pharmacologic agents based on individual characteristics, and conduct individual psycho-social therapy. 4 credits required for the DNP Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner concentration, 3 credits for the Post-Graduate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certificate. Students are required to come to campus for an on-site simulation evaluation. Graded ABCDE
