Introduction to cybersecurity and the challenges of designing and implementing secured systems, including characterization of cyber roles for cohesive security systems and fundamentals of networking, protocols, servers, connectivity devices, and media transmission security. Focus on fundamental technical security skills for building secured networks, including open systems interconnection (OSI) model security, control strategies, and authentications options. Students learn how to leverage automation to reduce strain on analysts and execute the Security Operation Center (SOC) mission to identify, investigate and mitigate threats. Graded ABCDE
