The Minor in Mathematics provides a good mathematical background for students interested in advanced study in such fields as computer science, economics, the engineering sciences, law, management, and the natural sciences.

Requirements

At least 23 credits as follows:

A. Core Courses

MTH 122 - Calculus II (4)
MTH 220 - Elementary Linear Algebra (3)
MTH 222 - Multivariate Calculus (4)

B. Electives

Four additional MTH courses numbered 300 or higher, to exclude:

MTH 370 - Probability with Statistical Applications (3)
MTH 390 - Problem-Solving Seminar (1)
MTH 391 - Directed Study (1-4)
MTH 393 - Actuarial Exam P Preparation Seminar (1)
MTH 396 - Actuarial Exam FM Seminar (2)
