The workforce demand in healthcare is well-documented, given the aging population in the U.S. and the projected retirements of healthcare workers. This dual program complements the Physician Assistant (MS) program with business knowledge and skills to improve the effectiveness and operational success of healthcare organizations and to promote entrepreneurial initiatives of PA professionals in finding business solutions to everyday issues they observe during their practice.
Through cross-recognition of courses between the MS and MBA programs, the dual program requires 12 fewer credits than if the degrees were completed independently. MS classes are offered on campus. MBA classes are offered on campus in evening, mixed-mode weekend, and online formats. Each program maintains its own admissions requirements. Students admitted to the MS program, which has a GRE requirement, will be given a GMAT waiver.
