Educational Administration (MA)

The Master of Arts in Educational Administration program is designed for educators who aspire to be teacher leaders or school principals.  The program prepares school administrators who can provide effective leadership to promote learning for all students. The curriculum emphasizes a theoretical and empirical base in educational administration coupled with substantial professional experiences that are grounded in practice.
The 30-credit program is cohort-structured, offered in a dual modality of online and on-campus coursework.  It features a comprehensive curriculum, which emphasizes field-based learning experiences in a preK-12 school environment.  A clinical experience with a recognized school leader is required.
The program is typically completed in 18 months, with two courses in each Fall and Winter semester and one course in each Spring and Summer term.  The on-campus component involves full-day sessions one Saturday each month for the duration of the program; the remaining content is delivered online.
